Is deep house the new minimal?

Photobucket

I received a Beatport spam email that said the latest dj hype is deep house, and after checking some new dj charts at beatport I can say deep house is the new hype, at least at Beatport. So far so good, I prefer deep house over minimal and electro house, although I dont like some really deep tracks that nothing is happening for 8 minutes or so except two heavily delayed chords. But how did this deep house love came? It's not a new genre nor new artists came to take it out of the underground. So.. is Beatport trying to create a hype for deep house?

..just looking around I found this nice post and solomun interview http://trickydiscobristol.blogspot.com/2008/08/td-salutes-diynamic.html
about deep house "revival" as it says (although this means that it was dead and brought back to life)

Hmm.. interesting but I cant really think of a deep house track labeled minimal :/ Could you give an example? As for dubstep + minimal I can't really say..There was dubstep + techno like this http://www.discogs.com/release/950220 last year so I guess you wont wait long..

I think deep tagged minimal tracks are the mistakes of some unknown source. but I say deep-dub-minimal combinations are formula of me body move.. totally groovin'...
